Last Friday, we were delighted to welcome Chris Hinchliff MP to St. Francis’ College.
He met our Prep pupils to discuss their letters about the environment, praising their thoughtful ideas on topics such as recycling, water use and plastic waste. Our Eco Reps also shared the sustainability projects we’re working on as a school.
Mr Hinchliff then spoke to Senior students about careers in politics, describing his own journey, the variety of roles within the sector, and the importance of diversity in Parliament. A lunchtime Q&A gave students the chance to ask about life as an MP and what makes the job both rewarding and challenging.
It was a lovely and inspiring day for everyone involved.
