The Art and Photography Department is pleased to invite students to take part in the Royal Academy’s Young Artists’ Summer Show. This national opportunity allows students to submit one piece of artwork for judging by a selection panel. Selected works may be exhibited online or in person at the Royal Academy of Arts, one of the UK’s leading galleries.
The competition is open to students aged 4–18. There is no set theme, and submissions can be in any medium, including drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, textiles, fashion, animation, video, and more.
Deadline: 4th March 2026
Each student may submit one artwork, accompanied by a short artist statement (maximum 80 words) written in the student’s own words, explaining why the artwork was created and what it means to them.
