Last week, we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming students from Everton Heath Primary School, Benington Primary School, and St Thomas More Primary School to St. Francis’ College for our Festival of STEM workshops. It was fantastic to see so many Year 4 and 5 students fully engaged and excited by hands-on science activities.
We look forward to welcoming more enthusiastic young learners to future events!
A huge thank you to the staff and students whose hard work made the day such a success. Several of our students also developed their leadership skills by helping to run the activities for the visiting children.
Many of our Year 10 and Year 11 students are currently completing the Youth STEM Award, an internationally recognised, skills-based programme designed to inspire future careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medicine. Supporting the Festival of STEM activities has helped them achieve two key strands of the award: “Inspiring the Next Generation” and “Engaging the Public.”
