This week in maths, Year 5 have been exploring negative numbers and applying them to real-life situations, including temperature.
To escape the soaring temperatures we have been enjoying recently, we travelled to much colder places through a temperature scavenger hunt. The children used their maths skills, their problem-solving abilities and their teamwork to calculate the temperature on Neptune.
Can you guess what it is? -214°C! Now that is chilly!
