We’re incredibly proud to see St. Francis’ College alumni Dr Nicola Fox, Associate Administrator at NASA, speaking about the positive impact St. Francis’ College had on her journey in a recent BBC interview.
Reflecting on her education, Dr Fox shared how attending St. Francis’ College gave her the confidence to pursue science without feeling limited by gender stereotypes.
She said, “I never experienced the ‘girls don’t do this’ or ‘boys do this’ because we were just girls and they taught all of the subjects.”
At St. Francis’ College, every girl is encouraged to discover her strengths and believe in what she can achieve. An education designed for girls creates an environment where confidence grows naturally, and every subject is seen as an opportunity.
It is wonderful to see Dr Fox inspiring future generations of women in STEM, and we are honoured that St. Francis’ College was part of her story.
