Dance lessons are offered in Tap, Ballet and Modern and taught in our purpose built dance studio.  In all genres, the work progresses through various levels building on the lessons previously learned, as well as adding new skills. Musicality and artistry are valued highly and taught equally as technical detail and execution.  Care of the growing child is emphasised, as is the knowledge of anatomy as it relates specifically to the dancer and the possible effect of dance on the growing body. Enjoyment and the love of dance is paramount in all lessons. All individuals are encouraged to achieve their full potential and develop their skills to their best possible ability.

As the students progress up through the grades the work increases both in physical and mental difficulty, giving the girls new challenges and a greater sense of achievement. The girls are offered the opportunity to take part in our biennial Charity show which is a highlight for all of our dance students.

Our Senior students have the opportunity to study their chosen dance genres up to vocational level and also have the chance to gain valuable UCAS points for their University applications. All examinations are QCF recognised and help to prepare any students considering a career in the Performing Arts as well as helping the girls gain the confidence and poise required for any interview or chosen career.
