Drama

There are lots of opportunities for students at St. Francis’ College to perform and develop their talent.  Some of the happiest memories many girls take away from St. Francis’ are the times they have been in school productions.  We are fortunate to have our own 300 seat theatre which provides a fabulous performance environment.  There are also opportunities for pupils to help backstage or to work with our Theatre Technician on the sound and lighting of school productions.

Year 7 have their own Drama Club which runs weekly and the opportunity to perform in a Summer Panto!

Year 8 work on a play in their Drama lessons and then perform in the theatre.

In the Autumn term we stage a big school production which alternates between a play and a musical.  This brings together all the students from years 7 – 13 and the performances are to an incredibly high standard.

In the Spring Term Year 9 – 13 have the opportunity to take part in the National Theatre Connections Festival and have had the opportunity to perform at The Royal and Derngate Theatre in Northampton and The Cambridge Junction.

In the Summer Term Years 7 – 9 are invited to audition for our Drama and Classics production.
