St. Francis’ has strong traditions in art, dance, drama, music and sport and we offer many enrichment activities, all of which are important in developing a well-balanced and confident individual.

We are also very happy to welcome prospective parents and their children at other times on a personalised basis. Please contact the Registrar on +44 (0)1462 670511, or by email to admissions@st-francis.herts.sch.uk to arrange a visit.
To be considered for admission, prospective pupils must first apply and pay a non-refundable Application Fee of £100. Prospective pupils must pass the College Entrance Examinations relevant to their age and receive a satisfactory report from their current school. A copy of the application form can be found in the download section on the right-hand side.
All children interested in joining are offered the opportunity to have a taster day. This can be before or after they have applied to join.
Entrance exams are held in the January prior to the student joining. Examinations are held in Maths, English and non-verbal reasoning. All applicants will have a short informal interview with a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
Deferred entry will be offered to successful candidates in Year 6 who wish to remain at their current school until joining the College in Year 9. The offer will be dependent on the pupil making good progress in Years 7 and 8 and the College receiving a satisfactory report from their Head prior to joining.
