The Queen’s Green Canopy is a unique, UK-wide tree planting initiative created to mark Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee, initiated by HRH Prince Charles, inviting schools, villages, cities and other community groups to “Plant a Tree for the Jubilee."
During her reign, The Queen herself has planted more than 1,500 trees all over the world and has spoken alongside Sir David Attenborough of the importance of trees in the Earth’s future.
At St. Francis’ College we are very proud to support The Queen’s Green Canopy and to mark The Queen’s 70-year-long reign through planting two cherry trees – one for the Prep school and one for the Senior school.
