Our school grounds are an official release site for hedgehogs from Shepreth Hedgehog Hospital, and this week "Kurt" was brought to us for release. Judith Large from Shepreth spoke to Year 10 pupils explaining the decline in hedgehog numbers and giving suggestions about what we can all do to help them. Kurt has been installed in our "hedgehog hotel" by the tennis courts, and each day this week, the girls have been putting out food and water for him. The door of his enclosure has now been left open, so he can leave when he wants and we hope he will help to boost the numbers of local hedgehogs.
