Summer Term - Welcome Mr James Nichols

Summer Term - Welcome Mr James Nichols

Welcome to the start of the summer term!

For those of you in the UK, we hope you have been able to enjoy some of the lifting of restrictions. For those of you overseas, we are sure you will be pleased to hear of the huge success of our vaccination programme which continues to roll out across the population – last week’s figures showed over 34 million people have been vaccinated.

Letchworth remains a safe, low risk location. The College continues to have provided unbroken education without a case in the College community. In order for us to remain successful in combatting the virus, we remind you that we will still be following our protocols, paying careful attention to handwashing, mask wearing, social distancing etc.

We are pleased that Mr James Nichols, Deputy Head, has taken up his post and we look forward to finding an opportunity to introduce him to you in person over the coming months. Besides being the Deputy Head, he is overseeing the pastoral care of the College and comes to us from Headington Girls School in Oxford. He has plenty of experience to share with us and we are sure you will join us in welcoming him to the College.

"I am delighted to be joining St. Francis' College and am tremendously excited to get to know the students, families and staff who work at this fantastic school. The College is a place of warm and respectful relationships where pastoral support and academic achievement go hand in hand. I would encourage any student or parent to email me if they want to know more about what exciting things are happening at the College." Mr Nichols.
