Sixth Form - Enrichment & Duke of Edinburgh

Our Enrichment course offers students the opportunity to further their skills, discover new passions, prepare for University and the world of work and enjoy making new friends.

Our Year 12 Enrichment programme covers a wide range of skills and topics including

  • Critical Thinking
  • Self Defence
  • Finance
  • Trampolining
  • World Politics
  • Advanced Excel Skills
  • Social Action
  • First Aid
  • Our local Community
  • Enterprise

All Year 12 students carousel through all of the courses throughout the year and enjoy experiencing topics, skills and activities beyond their subject learning.

In Year 13 we prepare our students for their future beyond the College.  Our two main courses are 'Cooking on a Budget' and 'Finance for Life' however we also incorporate revision techniques and wellbeing activities to improve their mental health.

The Duke of Edinburgh Award is recognised by both universities and employers as equipping young people with skills of teamwork, self-organisation, leadership and determination.  We are very proud that so many of our Sixth Form have chosen to take part in Duke of Edinburgh, with over twenty currently working towards their Gold Award, and wish them luck on their upcoming expedition.
