Welcome to St. Francis' College
Set in the midst of Letchworth Garden City, St. Francis’ College has been providing a first class education for girls for over 90 years, blending traditional values and a modern vision.
Students receive individual care promoting their spiritual, moral, intellectual, creative and physical development. We recognise the unique qualities of each student and encourage social responsibility and respect for others.
Founded in 1933, the school is now part of the Inspired Learning Group, a family of Independent schools and nurseries delivering a rich education, combining passion and innovation to develop and inspire children in a nurturing environment for a vibrant future.
St. Francis’ College provides day time weekday education for children aged 3 months – 18 years and day, flexi and full boarding for pupils aged 10+.
Small class sizes, individual attention and a supportive, caring environment help ensure that each and every girl enjoys their education and reaches their full potential, academically, socially and in a wide range of activities and extra-curricular pursuits.
St. Francis’ College is a happy and inclusive school, where achievement in all areas is encouraged and celebrated.
The College has grown and developed in many ways over that time but the principles of the early founding Sisters remain at the heart of the ethos of the College today.

IT Strategy
At St. Francis’ College, digital learning is a top priority, transforming lessons into more engaging and effective learning experiences that foster a deeper understanding of subjects, a passion for learning, and improved student outcomes. As our students become equipped with 1:1 devices for use in all lessons, so this will harness personalised learning and peer-to-peer collaboration, thus supporting all of our students as individuals within the classroom setting.
Our commitment to digital learning aligns with our DREAMS values and supports the teaching of a skills-based curriculum, equipping students with the adaptability to thrive in an ever-evolving technological landscape beyond school. Our staff regularly integrate a number of platforms into their lessons, such as Teams, Blooket, Quizlet, Mentimeter, Flip, and Wakelet, and we are excited to explore innovative ways to incorporate AI into our lessons.
